After a short break from showing my work at City Art Gallery, I’m coming back with a mix of 2 original paintings and fine art numbered prints : Most Living Things and Butterfly Night. The opening reception is tonight, November 2nd., from 7pm to 10pm, and the show will be up until the end of the month.
Here are some images of the pieces I’m presenting. I will try to get better pictures from tonight’s show.
Cheers!
Located in the Mission District in San Francisco, City Art is not a traditional gallery, it is a Co-op, that means it is own and operated by the artists it represents. In this particular case, it represents a great deal of independent emerging local work. It is a great place too see a fresh and raw selection of prints, painting, sculpture and jewelry in the city. The thing I like the most about City Art is the immense opportunity it gives to us, artists, to interact with the city, collectors – art lovers directly. Each wall is “curated” by its own artist and because it is a relatively small place, sometimes it can look crowded and in-cohesive but I argue, that rawness is the magic that makes the connection between art and people happens in such a natural way.
Hope you can come,
Cheers!
