botanINK Collection
The idea is simple, I let myself open up to unexpected compositions. When painting I try not to think, constantly reminding myself to ignore the need to attach meaning or purpose to what I am doing at the moment. As artists, we love (and are expected) to label our work, writing a statement of what makes us unique as individuals. Our work is supposed to be a window to our consciousness.
This is a series of paintings with no story to tell and no predetermined agenda.
BotanINK BARK
2012–2014
A series that seeks to hold the memory of a moment within nature’s constant becoming. Botanical studies that act as sensitive traces of an ephemeral time, where plant matter and gesture merge into a the natural element of using raw wood as surface.

Works that capture the vital flow of nature as perpetual motion. Fluid gestures and organic ideas translate the silent rhythm of growth, transformation, and impermanence.

Early abstract encaustic works that explore the tension between center and periphery. Orange hues, metallic sheen, and tactile density create a gravitational field where the central point gathers and radiates surrounding energy.

Use of circles, orbits, and meshes as visual metaphors for movement and connection. The compositions trace relational dynamics and invisible flows that evoke the living structure of natural systems and human networks.

An exploration of the circle’s geometry as a primordial form. Each piece carries the sensation of matter in motion—pigments diffusing like water, metals melting into light. These works reveal the cyclical pulse that runs through nature and human experience, offering a delicate synthesis between the organic and the abstract.
