Throughout her career, Andreina Davila has taken part in various informal and experimental installations that have been pivotal to her creative evolution. These experiences have allowed her to explore new forms of expression and build meaningful connections with diverse contexts and audiences. One notable example is her participation in 2016, when she presented her immersive installation Mis Memorias as part of that year’s Día de los Muertos exhibition, co-curated by René Yañez and organized by SOMArts in San Francisco. This setting offered a unique opportunity to engage directly with the public and to experiment with movement, light, memory, and the temporal nature of art. These installations—marked by their ephemeral and participatory character—have been essential to the development of the artist’s distinctive visual language, where audience interaction and the use of unconventional materials and formats play a central role.
