A new wall with my work up in City Art Coop Gallery (828 Valencia St San Francisco, CA 94110). The show runs from February 27 to Sunday March 30.
This time, I am only showing BotanINK prints, not original paintings. All the prints shown are limited editions, some block mounted, some matted with ink drawing, printed in fine art somerset velvet paper with archival water resistent inks. I took the opportunity to answer some of the frequent questions I get about my prints. Learn more here!
About City Art Gallery: This is not a traditional gallery, it is a Co-op, that means it is operated by the artists it represents. In this particular case, it represents a great deal of independent emerging local artists. It is a great place to see an affordable and raw selection of prints, painting, sculpture and jewelry in San Francisco. The thing I like the most about City Art is the immense opportunity it gives artists to interact with collectors and art lovers directly.
Each wall is “curated” by its own artist and because it is a relatively small place, sometimes it can feel crowded and amateur, and many times it is all those things, but I argue, that rawness might be the magic that makes the connection between art and people happen in such a natural way at City Art. Come and see!
